Never Cheap2/20/2019 In honour of the life of Karl Lagerfeld September 10, 1933 - February 19, 2019 “People who do a job that claims to be creative have to be alone to recharge their batteries. You can’t live 24 hours a day in the spotlight and remain creative. For people like me, solitude is a victory.” - Karl Lagerfeld - Karl Lagerfeld, 'Self-portrait', 2013 by Karl Lagerfeld Nearly every woman owns something by Karl Lagerfeld I believe. If it is not clothes, it's at least sunglasses or a perfume. His creations for Chanel, Fendi or Chloé are legendary. Now he is gone, and the world will change without him. It lost one of the most spellbinding and imaginative minds fashion has ever seen. During his fascinating career the enigmatic designer touched millions and millions of people, and not only women or the fashion world. His creativity and elegance surprised and inspired the entire world over and over again, together with and sometimes in contrast to his personality. Ever so colourful. Ever so playful and sexy. Ever so loquacious yet witty and sarcastic. Ever so glamorous. Ever so centre-of-the-world.
Thank you, Karl.
